Manneken Pis

Yesterday, Milo and I explored Brussels on our own while Jill spent the day at the Musses Royaux des Beaux Arts. After finding a weather shield for his stroller (it seems to rain quite a bit here), we made our way back to the Parc de Bruxelles (definitely Milo’s favorite place so far). On the way, though, we stopped for a photo:

Once we got to the Parc de Bruxelles, I let Milo out of his stroller. As you can see from the following dance, he was pretty happy to be free:

Yes, Jill's already taught Milo The Sprinkler

Here, Milo’s running towards me…

…and knocking me over:

Before going to bed last night, Milo got to have a piece of Baguette:

And some forbidden fruit:

Today, Milo warmed up with some Belgian waffles:

and Jill took a photo of me (my boss requested a head-shot for the library newsletter):

...before we gazed upon Tin Tin:

We then set out in search of the Manneken Pis (which, perhaps because of his lacking in the size department, the Bruxellians have made quite easy to find):

And, voila:

The walk home was awfully strange, because a number of familiar names appeared along the way...such as:

(Just in case you either neglected to click on the photo to get the bigger one, or you were unable to read this in the window)

and:

...uhh, no comment

and this last one is tagged on the outside of our apartment building. We had not previously seen it and Jill is convinced I graffitied it last night:

Milo ended his day with a bath in the sink (he hates the shower and I can’t bring myself to continue hosing him down as he screams…feels too much like a crude form of punishment rather than simply cleaning him…he loved the sink, though):
